God's Design
Created in His image, humans were meant to reflect the character and nature of God in their thoughts, emotions, and actions. They possessed a deep and unbroken relationship with their Creator, experiencing His love, guidance, and fellowship. Humans were designed with unique gifts, talents, and capacities to steward the earth and cultivate its resources.

Brokenness
Humans experienced a profound shift in their relationship with God, with one another, and with creation. The perfect harmony and wholeness that once characterized their existence was shattered. Sin brought about separation from God, as humanity rebelled against His loving authority. Each attempting to find their own path, their own way to redemption and glory in their own image.

Gospel
Jesus fulfilled God's plan of redemption for humanity, while in desperate need of a Savior. Jesus, being fully God and fully human, took on human form to bridge the gap between a holy God and a fallen world. Through His sacrificial death on the cross, Jesus paid the price for humanity's sin, offering grace, forgiveness, reconciliation, and restoration to all who believe in Him.

Romans 5:20-6:4
God’s law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God’s wonderful grace became more abundant. So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it? Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism, we joined him in his death? For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.
